Our Story
Trees are nature’s original carbon removal technology. Through photosynthesis, they absorb carbon dioxide from the air and store it, playing a crucial role in combating climate change. Recently, they’ve been championed as a key solution to reducing atmospheric carbon dioxide at a time when global emissions are at an all-time high.
As part of the AFR100 Initiative, Kenya pledged to restore 5.1 million hectares of degraded forests by 2030. As we progress towards 30% tree cover by 2032, Kenya aims to increase the country’s tree cover to 30% by 2032—an effort that requires unwavering commitment and action.
